What Sets the 2024 Lexus RX 350 F SPORT Handling Apart from the Base RX Model?

A family of luxury crossover SUVs, the 2024 Lexus RX is comfortable, stylish, and expertly built with new innovative features to further enhance the in-cabin and driving experience. If you’re seeking a model that offers dynamic upgrades for better handling and exhilarating performance, you’ll want to consider the RX 350 F SPORT Handling trim and its added sporty flair.

How is the 2024 Lexus RX 350 F SPORT Handling Different from the RX 350 Model?

Stepping into the F SPORT Handling model means added cabin luxuries, such as ventilated front seats on top of the standard heated seats and a multi-zone climate control and interior air filter that also includes an extra smog-sensing automatic recirculation mode.

Interior Technological Luxuries

You can also expect a 9.8-inch touchscreen display, with a 14-inch touchscreen optional. Lexus Memory system settings for the outer mirrors, steering wheel, and driver’s seat, as well as intelligent interior lighting with custom themes to match your mood instead of the standard ambient illumination.

F SPORT Styling

The cabin boasts significant design differences with the special F SPORT add-ons, such as the F SPORT perforated leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knobs. Other unique and sporty stylistic features include aluminum pedals, scuff plates, and front seats with enhanced bolsters.

Suspension Performance Dampers

For better handling and maneuvers on the road, the key difference between the RX base model and the F SPORT Handling trim is the added lateral performance dampers for the front and rear suspensions. You will also find opposed six-piston aluminum front brake calipers.

21-Inch Wheels

Although the Lexus RX base trim comes with 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, the F SPORT Handling trim delivers larger 21-inch and ten-spoke alloy wheels. All-wheel drive (AWD) is also standard with the 8-speed sequential-shift automatic electronically controlled transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) system to help improve traction and performance, instead of the base RX 350 front-wheel drive drivetrain.

Acceleration and Towing Capacity

While both trim options offer top track speeds of 124 mph and deliver 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, you can expect a faster 0-60 mph acceleration with the RX 350 F SPORT Handling model at 7.2 seconds instead of 7.6 seconds. However, the RX 350 AWD version offers a 0-60 time of 7.2 seconds.

Unique Upgrades and Packages

The F SPORT Handling model is also eligible for a broader range of luxury upgrades and packages, such as upgrading the 12-speaker premium sound system to a Mark Levinson® 21-speaker PurePlay surround sound system or adding the Convenience Package with added safety assistance features. Other optional add-ons not available on the base trim include a panorama glass roof and roof rails, premium triple-beam LED headlamps, heated and ventilated rear seats, and a 14-inch touchscreen display.
